An extension of your team — not another call to make.

We’re not another transportation company your case managers, nurses, social workers or adjusters have to chase on the phone. Our coordinators work side by side with your team — taking each transportation request from first call to safe arrival.

Side by side with your team

We coordinate the ride. You stay with the people you serve.

Discharge planners and unit staff, home health and hospice coordinators, claims adjusters and paralegals — everyone who books rides has enough on their plate. Rainbow Road Transport works as an extension of your team, so a transportation request is one less thing to manage.

Send It Once

One request — by email, or by phone (press 5 for partners) — and our coordinators take it from there.

We Handle the Back-and-Forth

Confirming the pickup, the destination, mobility needs and timing is our job — so your staff aren’t stuck on hold.

Inside Your Workflow

For some of our hospital and facility partners, our coordinators have read-only access to the partner’s EHR, under a signed Business Associate Agreement — so we can look up what we need instead of calling your staff for it.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the path that fits your team.

Facilities, Agencies & Firms

Hospitals, skilled-nursing and rehab facilities, dialysis centers, senior living, clinics and dental offices; home health, hospice and home care agencies; workers’ comp carriers and law firms. Net-30 account billing, a whole team that knows your account, and trip-volume reporting — with the credentialing documents your vendor team needs, ready to send.

Broker & Health-Plan Partnerships

Brokers, Medicare Advantage plans and our other health-plan partners. Send the member ID and authorization and we book it on our end — or we can connect to your platform for member-ID lookups and authorization-driven scheduling if you need it.

Eco-Friendly Hybrid Fleet

Wheelchair-accessible Toyota Sienna Hybrids with ramps, four-point tie-downs, and seatbelts.

Onboarding

From “interested” to the first transport.

Credentialing is usually the bottleneck. It isn’t here — the documents are ready to send, so your team can clear us while we set up your account in parallel.

Credentialing

The documents your vendor team will ask for.

Request any of these and we send them over — the section that unblocks a vendor-onboarding review.

Who we partner with

The teams that move clients every day.

Wherever a client needs to go, we handle the ground transport — with our own Chicagoland fleet and our own Transportation Specialists, not a brokered hand-off. Pick your team to see how we work with you.

Workers’ comp & legal

Getting injured clients to every appointment.

Adjusters, nurse case managers, and law firms book transportation for injured workers and personal-injury clients who can’t drive themselves. Rainbow Road Transport handles the ride door to door — ambulatory, wheelchair, bariatric wheelchair, or stretcher — with our own vehicles and our own Transportation Specialists.

We don’t bill insurance directly. Your firm, carrier, or employer opens an account and receives one itemized Net-30 statement, broken out by trip — so every ride is easy to match to its claim or case.

Appointments we drive to

Independent medical exams (IMEs)
Depositions & attorney meetings
Physical & occupational therapy
Orthopedic & specialist follow-ups
Imaging — MRI, CT, X-ray
Functional capacity evaluations
Recurring appointments on a standing schedule

Air-ambulance operators

Your crew handles the flight. We’ll handle the ground leg.

For operators flying through O’Hare, Midway, or the area’s fixed-base operators, Rainbow Road Transport can handle the Chicagoland ground transport on either end — between the aircraft and the hospital, facility, or residence — with our own vehicles and our own Transportation Specialists.

We don’t operate air ambulances ourselves — our part is the ground transport on either end, so your team can focus on the flight while we get the client safely to and from the aircraft.

Talk About a Ground Partnership

What we cover on the ground

Aircraft or FBO ↔ hospital, facility, or residence
Ambulatory, wheelchair, bariatric wheelchair, and stretcher transport
Our own Chicagoland fleet — no brokered hand-off
Scheduled 24/7 — call and press 5 for partners
Separate service: our Flight Nurse Companion places an RN escort on a commercial flight for medically stable clients — not an air ambulance.
Assistance companies & travel insurers

Send us the case. We’ll return one costed package.

For repatriations and long-distance medical escorts, our Flight Nurse Companion service puts a registered nurse beside a medically stable client on a commercial flight, bed to bed. We quote every leg — escort positioning, the main mission, and escort return — with ground at both ends.

Your team approves the package before any ticket is bought, and we invoice your company directly on Net-30 terms, itemized by leg or as one all-inclusive case rate.

How We Quote a Case

What every case includes

Fit-to-fly confirmed with the treating physician
Airline medical clearance (MEDIF) completed
Fare options across airlines, cabins, and nearby airports
Itemized by leg — or one all-inclusive case rate
Direct invoicing to your company, Net-30

Optional integrations

Route through a broker or health plan?

Send us the member ID and authorization and we book it on our end — for Medicare Advantage members, the plan member ID is what we request. For higher volumes we can connect directly to your platform — member-ID lookups, authorization-driven scheduling, trip-status callbacks. Manual import covers everyone else. We integrate only if you need it — no lock-in.

Rainbow Road Transport is private-pay focused and does not bill insurance directly — but we will check coverage for Longevity Health Plan and Provider Partners Health Plan (PPHP) members. Everyone else should check with their provider.
