A modern, fully accessible fleet — built around the client.
Every Rainbow Road Transport vehicle is a brand-new (2022–2026), professionally converted, ADA-compliant, rear-entry wheelchair van — kept clean, maintained, and inspection-ready. Most of the fleet is the fuel-efficient Toyota Sienna Hybrid.
Why every van is rear-entry.
Every van in our fleet is a rear-entry conversion — a deliberate choice for comfort and dignity, not a default. It’s the vehicle behind every wheelchair transport we run.
No “Parked-In,” No Waiting
The ramp deploys from the back, so we load and unload almost anywhere — no scramble for an accessible parking space, no being boxed in.
The Chair Rides Centered
The wheelchair travels down the middle of the cabin — a smoother, more stable position than being tucked to one side.
A Calm, Unhurried Board
A gentle, spring-assisted manual ramp with a non-slip surface makes boarding calm and unhurried — never rushed.
Two conversions. One standard of care.
Eight accessible vans, and growing. Specs straight from the manufacturer brochures — no embellishment. Whichever van pulls up, the securement and the certified Transportation Specialists are identical.

Questions we hear most
Not sure which van fits? Call (847) 585-8888 and we’ll match it to the trip.
Every vehicle is a brand-new (2022–2026), ADA-compliant, rear-entry wheelchair van.
The majority are Toyota Sienna Hybrids with the Vantage Mobility (VMI) conversion; we also run a Chrysler Voyager with the BraunAbility Simple Stow commercial conversion.
Whichever van shows up, it’s clean, maintained, and secured the same way.
It’s a deliberate, client-first choice.
Loading from the back lets us pull up and deploy the ramp almost anywhere — no scramble for an accessible parking spot and no being boxed in — and the wheelchair rides centered down the cabin, a smoother, more stable position than being tucked to one side.
With a 4-point securement system — QRT retractable tie-downs plus a lap-and-shoulder belt — on every vehicle. Your wheelchair is locked down before we move, and our Transportation Specialists are securement-certified and trained in safe loading and transfers.
Often, yes. Our vans fit wheelchairs up to 34 inches wide, wheel to wheel, and the ramps are rated to 1,000 lb. Because bariatric chairs vary, tell us the chair’s make, model, and width — and the client’s weight — when you book, and we’ll confirm the right vehicle and securement before the trip.
Yes. Depending on the van, there’s room for up to two wheelchair positions, or one wheelchair plus seated passengers — so a companion can ride along. The first companion rides free; a second is $25 each way.
Our COO leads fleet readiness: a maintenance schedule, regular safety checks, and cleaning between trips. Every van carries ADA-compliant ramps and ramp lighting, and stays inspection-ready for the facilities and brokers who audit their providers.
The right vehicle for the trip — every time.
Tell us the client’s needs and we’ll match the right van and securement. Transportation is scheduled 24/7.
