We’re not a faceless fleet. Rainbow Road Transport was founded by a registered nurse and a lifelong caregiver who have sat on every side of medical transport.
We built the company we wished had existed.
Both founders had relied on other non-emergency medical transport companies — and been let down by long waits, impersonal service, and at times being left stranded for hours.
Instead of accepting that as “just how it is,” we set a different baseline: reliability is the standard, care is the default, and every client is treated like family.
Our co-founder once waited more than four hours for a return trip with a client he was responsible for. He never wanted anyone in his care to feel that again.

Erick Robert “ER” Fukuda
“Every passenger treated like family, every team member trained to care.”
ER’s path to founding the company runs straight through the two things he’s spent his life doing — moving people safely, and caring for them. He served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Motor Transport Operator (88M) and is a licensed EMT, so the logistics of getting people where they need to go are second nature.
After moving to the United States in 2013 and working as a caregiver, he experienced the other side firsthand — trying NEMT company after NEMT company for the people in his care, and rarely getting service that felt safe or dependable. He earned his nursing license in June 2020, then went straight to the front lines as a home health nurse, later working across post-acute and wound care.
It was on the floor as a nurse that the idea sharpened: he listened to patients and families describe their transportation experiences — the good and the bad — and turned that into a blueprint for doing it differently. That’s the standard Rainbow Road Transport is built around: every passenger treated like family, every team member trained to care.
Marek Karejwo

If ER brings the clinical training, Marek brings the heart, the hands, and the discipline that keeps everything running. He came to the United States from Poland in 1994 and started at the very bottom — grateful for every rung — with years spent caring for clients as a caregiver alongside a steady career as a CNC machine operator.
Like ER, he lived the other side of medical transport as a customer — once waiting more than four hours for a return trip with a client he was responsible for. He never forgot how that felt, and never wanted anyone in his care to feel it again.
As COO he leads the Transportation Specialists — hiring and training the team, setting the standard for how every passenger is treated, and running the fleet with the same precision he once brought to the factory floor: every van clean, ready, and held to a maintenance schedule that keeps it safe for specialists, clients, and families alike.
