From inside the home to inside the appointment.
Door-through-door is how we run every transport in Naperville — not curb-to-curb. Specialists give a steady arm, push the wheelchair, and help with steps; they don’t lift or carry clients.
We Come Inside to Get You
Your Transportation Specialist comes into the home — or up to the room or unit at a facility — and walks with you to the van.
A Secured, Steady Ride
Rear-entry ramp vans with four-point wheelchair securement and lap and shoulder belts, driven by PASS-certified Specialists.
Inside to the Check-In Desk
At arrival we bring you through the doors, to the right floor or suite, and to the check-in desk — and the return trip ends inside your home.
Going further than Chicagoland?
We run long-distance discharges and family transports across all of Illinois, plus interstate trips to and from Illinois — quoted individually, with 24–48 hours’ notice. Where a commercial flight reaches, ask about Flight Nurse Companion: a registered nurse travels bedside to bedside.

View Full Service AreaYes. Naperville sits in DuPage County — one of the six Chicagoland counties (Cook, DuPage, Lake, Kane, McHenry, and Will) that make up our everyday service core. We also serve clients across all of Illinois, and we take long-distance trips to and from other states whenever one leg of the journey starts or ends in Illinois.
All four of our ground transport types: ambulatory, wheelchair, bariatric wheelchair, and Stretcher-Alternative. Every transport is door-through-door — from inside the home to inside the appointment. You can also add an escort or companion to accompany a client to an appointment when family isn’t available.
For routine appointments, 24–48 hours helps us reserve the right vehicle and the right Transportation Specialist.
Transportation is scheduled around the clock. For discharges and short-notice trips we may be able to fit you in depending on availability — call and we’ll tell you honestly what we can do.
Yes — we run accessible drop-off and pick-up at both O’Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW), with an optional Meet & Greet: to the airline check-in counter on departure, or met at baggage claim on arrival with help for luggage and into the vehicle. Other airports are handled as long-distance transport and quoted individually.
By default a round trip is will-call: you or the facility call when the appointment is done and a Specialist returns — no second booking.
Wait time after the appointment may be up to 60–90 minutes during peak times, and Rainbow Road Transport will do its best to pick up the client as early as possible.
If you’d rather the Specialist stay on site, Wait & Return is an optional paid add-on, requested at booking and subject to availability.
We don’t bill insurance directly — Rainbow Road Transport is private-pay. We partner with select Medicare Advantage plans and other health plans that may cover the ride for their members; see our Partners page, or call and we’ll check. Otherwise, contact your provider about reimbursement.
Let’s get you there and back.
Ambulatory, wheelchair, bariatric wheelchair, and Stretcher-Alternative transportation across DuPage County, all of Illinois, and long-distance beyond it. Transportation is scheduled 24/7.
