FAQs
What is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation?
Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) refers to transportation services that are provided to individuals who do not have a medical emergency but require assistance in getting to and from medical appointments, treatments, or healthcare facilities. These services are typically used by individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations that prevent them from using regular public transportation or private vehicles.
NEMT is designed to ensure that people with medical needs can access necessary healthcare services even if they are unable to drive themselves or use conventional transportation methods. Rainbow Road Transport offers vehicles equipped to accommodate individuals with disabilities or special medical requirements. NEMT services can include wheelchair-accessible vehicles, stretcher transportation, and other accommodations based on the specific needs of the passengers.
The goal of non-emergency medical transportation is to improve access to healthcare for individuals who face mobility challenges, ensuring they can attend appointments and receive necessary medical care.
